The Hoffmanshöhe is the highest and the most distinctive point at Lake Bergwitzsee, providing a beautiful view over the lake and across the municipality of Bergwitz. The Bergwitz Route around the lake is around nine kilometres long, and the viewpoint is at the halfway point. In autumn in particular, lots of ornithologists meet up to observe thousands of bean geese and greater white-fronted geese on their evening approach.
