Dahme Circular Route: The Legendary One – A circular route formed in the gap between Wahlsdorf and Prensdorf, mostly two metres wide and almost 40 kilometres long. The route leads principally through woodland and fields. Liepe is the realm of horses: A busy riding association is based here and hosts national riding competitions. Albeit no longer in use, the small village of Buckow has an architectural gem to offer: its municipal baths! There is a small photo exhibition providing information about its history. You’ll be challenged en route to Prensdorf: A steep ascent and a swift descent demand your full attention here.

Thanks to the route’s accessible design around Dahme/Mark, visitors in a wheelchair can almost get to the very centre of the small town. The track goes past the zoo through the castle grounds and then along the bog-iron wall of the town. According to legend, birds brought the stones that the wall is built with.

Ihlow also has its own animal folklore: The last wolf in the region was killed here in 1960, and can be seen stuffed in Jüterbog’s local history museum. Interestingly, wolves have been spotted again on the military training grounds in region – it seems that nature is reclaiming its old territory.

Please note: Maintenance and care of the tracks is one of the ongoing tasks in the Flaeming-Skate region. This means there are occasionally short-term restrictions on sections of individual routes. Please see the Flaeming-Skate website to find out more about this in good time before your arrival.
