The panorama ‘LUTHER 1517’ was opened in the town of Wittenberg to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Life on the streets of Wittenberg unfolds against the background of late-medieval town scenery – easily recognisable thanks to the distinctive church towers – just as it was experienced by Melanchthon, the Cranachs, Katharina von Bora, Luther and Justus Jonas in their day.

The historical figure Martin Luther can be found in multiple scenes at different stages in his life. He is joined by contemporaries including Elector Frederick the Wise and Lucas Cranach, embodying the spirit of the time, and a wide variety of townspeople, nobles, artisans and peasants in their typical clothing and setting.

The panorama in Wittenberg will be visible until 2024. Tickets can be booked in advanced online at tickets.wittenberg360.de. Last admissions are at 5:30 p.m. every day.

Bonus for visitors with a DB or MDV ticket: 10% discount on all admission fees for the ‘LUTHER 1517’ panorama in Wittenberg. The bonus coupon is valid for up to 5 people.
