Jüterbog is one of the oldest and most important towns in Brandenburg. Jüterbog was first mentioned in 1107 and became a prosperous trading town in the middle ages. Three important monasteries, three town gates with fortified towers and the oldest town hall in Brandenburg with a magnificent Gothic ornamented gable await visitors in the middle of Fläming. Jüterbog bears the European Heritage Label and was an important location during the Reformation.
