The first stage of Tour Brandenburg covers 57 kilometres from Brandenburg an der Havel to Rathenow. The tour through the southern Havelland region initially leads along the water around Lake Breitlingsee. It then runs through Westhavelland Nature Park to Rathenow via Pritzerbe and Premnitz.

How to get there: Take the RE1 regional express train from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) to Brandenburg/Havel (approximately 1 hour).

Return journey: From Rathenow, take the RE4 to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (approximately 1 hour).

Route: Brandenburg an der Havel, Plaue, Havelsee, Pritzerbe, Kützkow, Bahnitz, Milow, Premnitz, Rathenow

Havel Industrial museum, computer museum, Slavic Village, tram museum, local history museum in Steintor Tower, Old Town Hall, Friedenwarte im Bürgerpark Marienberg, St. Gotthardt Kirche church, Roland statue at Altstädtischer Markt, St. Nikolaikirche church, St. Katharinenkirche church, St. Peter and Paul Cathedral
  • Krugpark Nature Conservation Centre
  • Plaue: Fishery exhibition, parish church, palace park
  • Pritzerbe: Stadtpfarrkirche church
  • Kützkow: Erlebnishof (adventure farm)
  • Bahnitz: Natural bathing area, village church
  • Milow: Natural bathing area, Apothekergarten, half-timbered church, Westhavelland Nature Park Centre
