This tour is only fully open from July 16 because of the bird breeding season.

Route:

Route: Gülpe – 4 kilometres – Strodehne – 1.5 kilometres – Garz – 7.5 kilometres – Molkenberg – 3 kilometres – Gülpe

The starting point is the bivouac area in Gülpe, the lido invites you to take a refreshing swim before the tour, which then continues upriver to Gülper Havel heading northward. Shortly after that you come to the Kahnschleuse lock in Gülpe, which you have to operate yourself by hand.

In Strodehne you can stop for a picnic at the rest area for boaters and use the playground; there is also a restaurant. After Strodehne, you turn onto the main River Havel and paddle upriver. This can be done without any problem because of the gentle flow.

In just 1.5 kilometres, you can land at the marina in Garz. There is also a restaurant here. The large Garz lock, which is remote-controlled, comes just after Garz.

Molkenberg also has a rest area for boaters and a restaurant. Here, you turn into Gülper Havel, where you will soon come to the former Molkenberg lock. It is no longer in use and the lock is permanently open so you can pass through without any problem.

Back in Gülpe, you can finish the day in comfort at the lido with a barbecue area and fire pit. Of course, you can also stay overnight in a tent at the bivouac area.
