For 100 years, the people of Berlin and Potsdam have appreciated the region around Caputh as a destination for a day out. The manor house with its park, the village church in the style of an Italian basilica and Albert Einstein’s summer house attract large numbers of guests to the town near Potsdam every year. Caputh House is the only remaining palace of the Great Elector in the Potsdam cultural landscape. The Fliesensaal with more than 7,500 Dutch tiles, the living rooms of Electress Dorothea and the landscape garden designed by Lenné are particularly worth seeing.
