The striking, compact village church of Bagow with its salmon-coloured plasterwork has a very special history: At the beginning of the 20th century, the original church in the centre of the village was destroyed by a fire and torn down a short while later. The new church was built a few years later according to plans by the royal building inspector Georg Büttner. It was consecrated in 1907. The church was co-financed by the Ribbeck family, who held the patronage of the previous church. Some of the items rescued from the previous church are found there today, such as the richly decorates Baroque altar and pulpit.

The hall church has a hexagonal floor plan with a pointed tower on the east side. A half-timbered staircase accessible from two sides protrudes from the tower, by which the belfry and east gallery are reached. The church also has a striking volute gable. Inside the church, the stained glass windows depicting Jesus, the Archangel Michael and the village church also stand out. Paintings and gravestones serve as reminders of the Ribbeck family.

The key to the church is available for viewings across the road at Dorfstrasse 17 from the Eschholz family.
