The church in Ribbeck was build in the 16th century as a single-nave hall church. The church was rebuilt several times and the small Medieval windows became large, luminiferous windows. The interior was painted based of the example of the Schinkel school. In 1887, the church building was extended by six metres to the east. In the north and south, second storeys were added to the church. The barrel vaulted crypt of the von Ribbeck family is under the south extension. Numerous renovation and conversion works to the church began in 1985. Of the 19th century layout, the wooden chancel was retained. The church was restored according to the Classical Revival design of 1887. It was modelled on the Schinkel school of the time.

Various musical events and exhibitions invite you to linger for a while.
