The oldest document in which a church in Reckahn is mentioned dates from 1230. The predecessor building of the current church was a half-timbered structure whose year of construction is unknown. It was demolished in 1731 due to dilapidation. Friedrich Wilhelm von Rochow had a new church built in 1739: the current village and castle church. It was not completed until 1741. The recessed west tower is adorned with an onion-shaped dome. An inscription above the portal shows the von Rochow and von Görne family crests. The church in Reckahn was built in the typical understated baroque style. No significant changes have been made to the church interior since its construction in the 18th century. The marble altar in the eastern part of the church is originally from Italy. The rear wall of the church interior features elaborate wood panelling.
