The artist Siegrid Müller-Holtz refers to her small and large-format material pictures as ‘dream pictures’. They were inspired by her unforgettable impressions of the local area and the painter’s visions. Any interesting "finds" from here or there are magically incorporated in her collages. Any finds are recomposed, glued and plastered with the artist’s imagination and empathy onto paper, cardboard or canvas, sometimes in many layers. This is how the image dreamt in her mind becomes real in the form of a new abstract painting. She combines figurative images with architecture, colours with forms, with a different entity evolving from the fragments– a new reality.
