The Chaos Kunst Klub Caputh art club was established in 2018 by the artist Doris Sprengel (Art) and the designer Claudia Köppelmann (Chaos) and sets out to develop ideas relating to art, nature and culture with children and young people. Digging, painting or intensive crafting then translates these ideas into shared experiences. Reflections on history, the discovery of secrets, literary templates and knowledge from all possible areas, including the science of waste management, often form the starting point for the activities. The Chaos Kunst Club Caputh combines this with the artistic creation of new places that are accessible to all and usually end in a raucous party.

At Halloween in 2018, the club created the “Scary Schoolhouse”, an interactive ghost train in the historic school house of Caputh, the inspiration for which was research carried out in the Ferch Archive.
The Quantum Revue and the Molecular Market were also launched to mark the anniversary of the Albert Einstein Primary School. After extensive research on street art, together with Year 5, the club transformed a dull wall in the school into a mega-cool wall of graffiti art at Meusebach Primary School in Geltow. During the traditional Trachtenfest Festival in 2019 in Lübben, the club researched the origins of traditional costume fashion in connection with the legend of the “Snake King” in the Spree Forest.

With the support of the Caputh Primary School Parents’ Association and the Brandenburg Platform for Cultural Education, the Chaos Kunst Klub Caputh took over the school garden of the Albert Einstein Primary School in Caputh in August 2019 and has since worked with children and young people on the local combined artistic and gardening initiative.

The designer Claudia Köppelmann actually does everything and is currently working on identifying edible weeds.
