After a visit to the information center, there are still exciting and interesting things to discover about the Elbe and Havel rivers and their floodplain areas in the outdoor area. Environmental education stations on topics such as flood levels, fish in the Havel, blossom/bird calendars, tree identification, floodplain sounds, grazing animals and much more can be explored. A water playground for young and old invites you to play and relax in the outdoor area. A viewing platform can be reached via the footbridge, from which visitors can enjoy the idyllic Havel. On information boards, NABU provides information about the reconnection of an old arm of the Havel directly in front of the House of Rivers. This renaturation measure is an example of the large-scale transnational nature conservation project on the Lower Havel and is integrated into the exhibition concept of the information center.
