The church parish in Ribbeck has been working to reconstruct the village church since the 1980s. The parish garden directly adjacent has also been restored as part of this work. It is intended as a place of tranquillity and relaxation, at the same time as a place of faith. The new design enables visitors to delve into selected biblical stories in individual areas of the garden. In addition to the biblical stations, there are also additional sections of the garden in which visitors are actively encouraged to participate. The “Garden of Encounters" with a stage is located in the front section of the garden. It provides space for church services and cultural events. Young visitors will also find a place for themselves in the "Children's and Games Garden". The two areas to the rear, "Sorrow and Petition", in the form of a wall of mourning and prayer, and "Thanks and Joy", in the form of a fragrant garden, are intended to stimulate people to confront their own faith.
