In the old town of Nauen there are numerous buildings, some of which date back to the Middle Ages. One of them is the 15th century church of St. Jacobi, a brick building in Gothic style. Another striking structure is the Rathausplatz with its neo-Gothic town hall, which was built in the 19th century. There are numerous other renovated buildings with rear courtyards where there are background stories and anecdotes to tell about the history of the town – these are best explored on a guided tour.
