The hike around the lake Klostersee north of Kloster Lehnin is seven kilometres long. The tour will take you around the lake. You can enjoy wonderful views of the lake and there are a number of opportunities for bathing. A visit to the monastery and the monastery café is recommended in Lehnin.

Start/finish: Market square in Kloster Lehnin

How to get there:
  • Public transport: From Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) take the RB18544 (Brandenburg an der Havel) to Groß Kreutz. From here take bus no. 550 to Lehnin (about 1 hour and 15 minutes).
  • Car: From Berlin via the A115, A10 and A2 to Lehnin (about 1 hour).

Route: Kloster Lehnin, Klostersee, Nahmitz, Klostersee, Kaltenhausen, Kloster Lehnin

Route description: The tour is not recommended if there is a north wind, as the noise from the motorway to the north is too loud then.

Sights:

  • Kloster Lehnin: Cistercian monastery, monastery church of St Mary
  • Gallery by Lake Klostersee (sculpture park)
  • Lehnin: Koi fish garden, lido
