The Mühlentorturm gate tower was built in 1411 by Stettin master builder Nikolaus Kraft. The connection to the town wall is on the west side, which can be seen from the door leading to the gate on the north side. The original square base merges with the octagonal shaft with corner toe walls. This bears panels on all sides with Stargard tracery. It holds a small, domed dungeon, a rib vaulted watch chamber and two defence storeys with slit embrasures. The medieval finds suggest that during extensive renovations in the late 19th century, the battlements and pyramid roof were reconstructed according to the 15th century model.

In addition to the outer octagonal shape of the brick building including the cone roof, the 24 metre high, four-storey structure differs from the other gate towers with its church window-like brickwork apertures.
