The canoe rest area is intended as a break spot for muscle-powered boats without overnight stays. It is located on the left bank of the Havel, downstream, just before the village of Böhne. A shallow shore makes it easier to get in and out of the boat. Several benches are available along the shore. The canoe rest area is marked with a sign on the waterside. The site is also used as a natural bathing area, so mutual consideration is required. The canoe rest area is located in the "Untere Havel Süd" nature reserve, within the Westhavelland Nature and Star Park. Visitors are kindly asked to follow the reserve's rules and leave the area clean.
