The bivouac and bike rest area is located in the picturesque Haveldorf Grütz, near the nature reserve "Untere Havel Nord" in the Nature and Star Park Westhavelland. The Havelland and Havel cycle paths pass directly by. The area can be used by water travelers and cyclists for one night of camping. A swimming area with a large sunbathing lawn invites swimming and relaxing.

The bivouac sites are publicly accessible facilities. Prior registration or reservation is not possible. Please be considerate of each other, observe the rules of the protected area, and leave the site clean.

Location: UHW km 114.9

Instructions for using the bivouac site:
  • Overnight stay on the bivouac site: 5.00 euros per person
  • Camping is possible within the marked area for a maximum of 4 tents
  • Use canoe racks
  • Barbecuing allowed
  • Open fire (fireplace) prohibited

Facilities:

  • Covered and uncovered seating with tables
  • Grill
  • Dixi toilets
  • Canoe racks
  • Drinking water, electricity (coin-operated taps). A personal drinking water hose or canister must be brought for water extraction. The appropriate power adapter cable is available from the Schirrmacher family (house opposite the bivouac site).
  • Charging and repair station for bicycles
  • Information board about the Nature Park Westhavelland and water sports area Lower Havel Lowlands

Note:

  • No shopping opportunities in the village.
