The canoe rest area is designated as a resting place for muscle-powered boats without overnight stays. It is located on the left bank of the Havel River downstream in Milow. A wide, shallow sandy beach makes it easier to get in and out of the boat. There are benches and covered tables. The site is marked by a sign on the waterside. It is also used as a natural swimming area. Docking is only permitted at the jetty. Please be considerate.

In close proximity is the NaturparkZentrum Westhavelland, which features an interactive exhibition about the nature park and the biodiversity of the Lower Havel floodplain. The town offers several shopping options, a pharmacy and restaurants. The site is also used as a natural swimming area. Please be considerate.

The canoe rest area is located within the "Untere Havel Süd" nature reserve in the Westhavelland Nature and Star Park. Visitors are asked to observe the reserve’s regulations and leave the area clean.
