This waterway rest area is situated on the Föhse, which separates the old town island from the mainland (PHv 12.3) The ‘Gelbe Welle’ (‘Yellow Wave’) symbol helps for orientation. The jetty is classified by the ADAC with two ship’s wheels for Technical & Service as well as for Catering, Provisioning & Leisure. There are 4 bays for ships up to 8.5 metres in length and 22 bays for boats up to 5 metres in length. Parallel to the bank there is also a jetty for rowers and paddlers, approximately 15 metres long and 2 metres wide. The water touring spot is accessible and is accessed via a ramp. The berths can be paid for by card at the machine. The maximum stay is 48 hours.
It is possible to dock at the waterway rest area right by the old town of Werder (Havel). It is free for up to two hours. There are restaurants and shops very near by, a boat and bicycle rental, an accessible public toilet, a medical centre and a pharmacy. Stay a while at the children’s playground with climbing apparatus and benches to rest on near the banks.
