Outside there are historic farm machines and devices, a draw well, a pigeon loft and the bakehouse with its clay oven, a herb garden and a coach house with a farm shop (selling regional products). During the season, bread and cakes are baked in the clay oven every 14 days. In 2014, the "Historische Bauerngarten" (historic farmer’s garden) with its bucket well and handle pump along with a tourism and museum multi-purpose room were opened. Coffee and cake can be served here subject to pre-booking (groups).

Several festivals take place during the year, such as the “Frühjahrsfest” (spring festival), the “Backofenfest” (oven festival), the Harvest Festival and the Christmas market. There is always a large craft and farmers’ market at the festivals with “Altes Handwerk” (old crafts) to touch and a programme of stage performances. Guided tours of the museum are available to all guest groups (duration about 1 to 1.5 hours, by arrangement).
