The world's first flight attempts were made here on the Gollenberg in Stölln. Aircraft models, documents and photos describe the life and work of the aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal in the Lilienthal-Centrum Stölln. A multifunctional building is available for this in the form of the “old distillery”. The impressive permanent exhibition is divided into four thematic complexes: Aviarium (large bird house), workshop, two brothers and the aviation lexicon. The "Lady Agnes" is a special sensation - an IL 62 that has been withdrawn from Interflug and can be viewed at Gollenberg.

In addition to the Lilienthal-Centrum and the IL 62, memorial stones from Otto Lilienthal and Paul Beylich, the world's first aircraft fitter, as well as the unique "wind harp" can be discovered around the Gollenberg. An ideal destination for the whole family.

With an inexpensive combination ticket, a visit to the Lilienthal Center can be combined with a stay on board the aircraft.
