The museum in the baroque administration building of the Cistercian monastery in Lehnin illustrates the history of the oldest monastery of its kind in the Mark Brandenburg region. The permanent exhibition “Wo Himmel und Erde sich begegnen” (“Where heaven meets earth”) allows for insights into the life of the Cistercian monks before the reformation and this trail is followed through to the present day and the work at a protestant deaconess among these old walls.
