The medieval Steintor Tower itself is an exceptional testament to the history of the city and seriously worth a visit. It is the only city gate tower that can be visited in Brandenburg an der Havel and houses an exhibition on Brandenburg Havel shipping. After all, the tower stands at the only navigable water connection between the Upper and Lower Havel rivers in the city of Brandenburg. Climbing to the top of the tower offers visitors a panoramic view over the New Town of the city of Brandenburg an der Havel.

Stadtmuseum im Frey-Haus

Special exhibitions and display exhibitions showcase different eras of the thousand year-long history of the city in the local history museum in the Frey-Haus, a Baroque residence in the historic centre of Brandenburg dating back to the 18th century. The collection of historic toys produced in the city of Brandenburg is particularly impressive. The exhibitions are complemented by events and educational services.
