The swimming area is located on the Havel River at the "Untere Havel Nord" nature reserve in the Westhavelland Nature and Star Park. It has a large lawn for sunbathing. It is accessible by car via Grützer Dorfstraße, with parking available in designated areas within the village. Directly adjacent is the bivouac site/cycling rest area of the village. Simple portable toilets are available for the swimmers.
