The Götzer Berg hill, formed in the last ice age, is over 108 metres tall and towers over the Havel lowlands right beside it. The hilltop is home to a 42-metre-tall observation tower that was opened on June 14, 2012 with a shape reminiscent of a land-surveying tower with its wood-covered exterior struts. The sweeping viewing platform is 27 metres tall.

The hill and observation tower are situated at the heart of the Brandenburger Osthavelniederung landscape conservation area. A hike up to the tower is an equally interesting proposition. Several well-signposted paths lead through the rustling pine forest up to the hill, which provides a breathtaking view over the entire Havelland region.

The Havel Cycle Path runs past the foot of the Götzer Berg, there is a bicycle rental in Groß Kreutz (Havel), and there is accommodation in Groß Kreutz (Havel) and in Götz. Reachable by train or car to Götz. Hike to the Götzer Berg observation tower: approximately 4 kilometres.
