Reckahn Castle was the ancestral seat of the von Rochow family and it was completed in 1729. It is situated in a big freely accessible landscape garden. The castle is home to the Rochow Museum with its permanent exhibition “Vernunft fürs Volk” (“reason for the people”) about the great school reformer Friedrich Eberhard von Rochow. Reckahn Castle is the perfect destination for bridal couples. Reckahn’s school museum with a historic class room is located just a few metres from the castle.
