This nature conservation centre offers: an approximately three-kilometre circular trail with information panels and resting spots, exhibitions ‘Pflanzen und Tiere in Brandenburg’ (‘Plants and animals in Brandenburg’) and ‘Natur zum Anfassen’ (‘Touching nature’), a haptic trail that is also suitable for people with disabilities, entertainment panels and devices for fitness training, composting toilet, playground, poets’ trail: Fifteen panels with quotes from famous and some less famous poets on a 1.7-kilometre-long path, picture frames providing a peak into nature, plus a nature trail that can be used at any time with no need to book.

The centre also provides educational programmes for all ages: Excursions, educational programmes to accompany the curriculum for schoolchildren from primary school up to secondary school, hikes, treasure hunts, forest adventures, ‘live like our ancestors’, cooking with wild herbs, projects on weather and climate, experiments in nature, hikes for families and elderly visitors, and lectures.

There is also a station looking after wild animals, recognised by the state of Brandenburg, taking in injured and weak wild animals to care for them with the aim of releasing them into the wild again and maintaining biodiversity.
