A new highlight in Lusatia - in the truest sense of the word, because the "Sedlitzer Turm landmark" towers over the sports field of the Senftenberg district of Sedlitz at over 13 metres.

Situated exactly between Lake Großräschen and Lake Sedlitz, the tower offers an opportunity for vertical sports that is rather rare in the flat countryside. The Sedlitz Mountain Friends Association have created an opportunity far from the mountains to pursue their climbing hobby in the Lusatian homeland.

With a base area of 7.5 x 3.5 metres and a height of 13 metres, a total climbing area of approx. 400 m² was created. 161 safety hooks, 15 deflection points, a Saxon abseil ring and, of course, a summit book were installed. The spacious summit area invites you to linger and look around.

The tower, which is modelled on the rocks in Saxon Switzerland, offers all facets of climbing in Saxon difficulty grades III to IXa on a total of 22 climbing routes. The routes are described on two boards and on the association's website. In addition, the tower is flanked by 3 bouldering rocks. Here you can climb without a rope.

The Sedlitz Tower, which is open to the public, serves all climbing enthusiasts for fun and challenge. Located directly on the Long-distance cycle route Seenland Route, non-climbers are also welcome to take a look at the tower and watch the climbing sports enthusiasts. The adjacent sports restaurant also invites you to have a snack.

The Sedlitz Mountain Friends Association ask climbers to make a small donation to help maintain the tower.
