Located directly on the lakeside path near the Gaumensegel, the redesigned themed playground in Senftenberg offers a variety of play options with maritime and mining references. The focus is on the well-known play ship ‘Bounty’, which has been refurbished and integrated into the facility in a new colour scheme. An additional fleet, new climbing elements such as wooden barrels and a ropeway with a view of the lake extend the range of activities on offer. Small hills symbolise spoil tips and thematically link the former open-cast mine to today's lake district. The existing Rapunzel tower with slide will be retained, as will the neighbouring toboggan hill. The playground has an integrative area and is also easily accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs thanks to its low-barrier paths. Several large boulders commemorate Dr Otto Rindt, one of the key designers of the Lusatian Lakeland. The nearest beach is just a few hundred metres to the east of the playground.
