At the Schwarzheide/Schipkau Airfield in the Lusatian Lake District, flying fans can be carried off into the skies. A circular flight in a glider opens up wonderful views across the lakeland scenery, as far as the former F60 conveyor bridge, for example, or the surface mine at Welzow. Individual flight destinations are also possible. It is possible to travel to more distant destinations in the motorised aeroplane, such as the Sächsische Schweiz region or Dresden. On the "Castles Tour", "Maule MX7" flies over Meissen, Königstein and Stolpe, for example. Up to three passengers can travel.

Those who want to try gliding for themselves can be a "pilot for a day". In addition, the airfield offers flying lessons, parachute jumps, balloon ride and model aircraft flying.
