Circular tour via: Klitten - Uhyst

Trail conditions: The circular trail is a largely level, asphalted path along the lakeshore.

Points of interest along the route:
  • Walk-on landscape art “ear” with amphitheatre at the lakeshore in Boxberg
  • Marina Klitten and lighthouse
  • Wildlife park “Safariwildrevier” in Uhyst


Food & drinks: Lakeside snack bars at the lakeshore in Boxberg, Klitten and Uhyst; please note that no food and drinks are available on the north west shore

Parking: at the lakeshore in Boxberg, Klitten and Uhyst, at Marina Klitten, and at the surfers’ beach “Merzdorf” (subject to a charge)

Useful information about the bicycle tour:
  • Bathing areas in Boxberg/O.L., Uhyst and Klitten
  • Viewpoints: the most beautiful view is from the “ear” at the bathing area in Boxberg
  • Public toilets: at the bathing areas in Boxberg/O.L., Uhyst and Klitten
  • Playgrounds: at the bathing area in Boxberg/O.L. (skatepark) and at the campsite in Klitten
  • Nearest lake circuit: Dreiweiberner See (8 kilometres); no direct link
  • Most of the trail around the lake is unshaded

Tip: Bicycles are available for rent at the Sternencamp Bärwalder See campsite at the lakeshore in Boxberg. The trail around Bärwalder See is also popular among skaters, thanks to the even asphalt surface.
