In response to climate change, Germany's first climate change-adapted cycle path has been developed in the Lusatian Lakeland - with a special focus on heat protection and cycling enjoyment close to nature.

The route runs mostly along forests as well as rows of trees and bushes, which ensure pleasant temperatures during the excursion. There are several places to cool off along the way, such as the beach at Lake Großräschen, the leisure and recreation centre in Großräschen or the outdoor pool in Altdöbern. Cafés along the route invite you to linger, and you can top up your water bottle at the water dispenser next to the tourist information centre in Großräschen.

In addition to the charming landscape, there is plenty to discover: The IBA terraces with their vineyard offer a marvellous view over Lake Großräschen. Even on hot days, the castle park in Altdöbern with its idyllic atmosphere is an ideal place for a refreshing break in the countryside. Time and again, the route also offers impressive views of Lake Großräschen and Lake Altdöbern.
