Start off in Gubin heading towards Komorow, a village from the thirteenth century that is home to one of the Gubin area’s natural monuments, a four-century-old elm tree with a circumference of more than seven metres. Via Walowice you reach Chlebowo with its interesting church. From here it is possible to make a detour to the River Oder and take a ferry to Polecko. Continue to the street village of Lomy. If you’re looking for some refreshment, turn off along natural paths to the tranquil Lake Glebno. The village of Kosarzyn is near the estuary of the River Neiße into the Oder, in the Krzesin Nature Reserve. Here you’ll find the Meeting Cross, erected as a symbol of German-Polish cooperation. An old weir on the estuary of the River Lomianka into the Oder will impress anyone interested in technology. The nearby Lake Borek is an ideal spot for a break with its bathing area and restaurant. The tour continues via Zytowan and Budoraz to Gubin. If you follow the cycle path you will get to the Theatre Island in Gubin. Here remnants of columns and the marble pillars of the monument to Corona Schröter recount the town’s history.
