Guests can take a look at the bird sanctuary island in the lake Gräbendorfer See at the environment and meeting centre “Gräbendorfer Garten”. The walk-on roof terrace is accessed via an outside staircase. The telescope that is installed on the little viewing platform allows for very special views. Those who would like to take an even closer look at the goings on on the bird island can watch the live footage shown in the event room. A camera was put up on the bird sanctuary island for this purpose.  The island is a breeding ground for various species of gulls. Herring gulls, common gulls, Gaspian gulls and other birds, such as partridges, lapwings and hoopoes can be seen here.  Visitors can also watch a herd of goats. The goats are used to control the growth of shrubs and bushes.
