The church “Maria, Mutter der Christenheit” (Marienkirche), belonging to the Catholic parish of St Trinitas, was built according to designs by the architect Egon Körner. The modern hall church comprises a clinker-stone atrium and the main hall, penetrated by a semicircle on the east side. The crucifix fitted to the semicircle behind the sandstone altar is a real eye-catcher inside the church.
