The St. Martinkirche church in Hornow was built in the thirteenth century, and the first documentary reference to it dates back to the year 1495. A rosette above the entrance symbolises Martin Luther and the conversion to the Evangelical faith. The church altar was erected in 1588. Today the church tower houses two bells, though in the past there were four.
