The Peace Memorial Church was built between 1916 and 1917 by Mr. Tafel, the owner of the Lauchhammer ironworks. The church was consecrated in 1917 and became a memorial to the fallen of the First World War. In 1946, the church became the property of the town of Lauchhammer. Around 1956, the church was renovated and the Christ window was installed in the chancel. Since August 1999, the church has been used by the WEQUA GmbH Lauchhammer as the “Project House of Opportunities”.
