The two fishing ponds are idyllically situated in an arch of the Spree river near Lake Bärwalder See. Here anglers without a fishing licence too can try out their luck, with first-timers being given a comprehensive briefing on angling practice according to the Animal Protection Act. If required, the angling school also teaches basic angling skills. Staff are also on hand to offer advice and assistance. The operator also offers guided angling tours in the Lusatian Lake District as well as an introduction to the preparation of fishing sites. Parking is possible on the entire leased area.

  • Size of both ponds together: 2.5 hectares, average depth: 1.5 metres
  • Fish species: Balanced fish stock of carp, rainbow trout, salmon trout, brown trout, European catfish, sturgeon, pike, perch, bream, zander and tench.
  • Tenant/operator: Tony Funke, Fischdirektvermarktung Telephone: +49 160 651 90 73 (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.)


Sale of fishing permits: Permits are sold directly on site. The anglers simply start fishing, and the operator comes directly to them.
