Surrounded by pines, oaks and mixed forests, Lake Pinnower See is at the edge of the Schlaubetal Valley in a landscape conservation area. Mushroom foragers, anglers, divers and walkers will find plenty to discover all year round in a fantastically beautiful natural landscape. The circular walk leads around the entire lake, mainly on dirt roads. Along the way there are twelve bird panels, designed by a Guben artist – a bird quiz for young and old will keep everyone entertained during the walk. And visitors wanting to indulge in savoury and sweet specialities can pick up a picnic basket in the Karpfenschänke restaurant or pop in during the walk.
Walking route: Parking at the Lake Pinnower See campsite on the east bank – picnic bench to the south of the lake – Karpfenschänke restaurant on north bank
Start/finish: Parking at Lake Pinnower See campsite. Alternatively, the tour can also start and end at the parking area by the Karpfenschänke restaurant.
Length: 6 kilometres
Marking: white-green dot
Rest/stop: Picnic bench, snack bar at Lake Pinnower See campsite, Karpfenschänke hotel and restaurant
Sights: There is a barge rental by the lake, fishing permits can be obtained from the Lake Pinnower See campsite.
