The Dörgenhausen trestle windmill is a historical landmark in the Dörgenhausen district of the town of Hoyerswerda, Saxony. This traditional windmill, which is considered a cultural monument, was originally built in the 19th century and was used for a long time to mill grain for the surrounding villages. Today, the mill is a functioning display facility that offers visitors an insight into historical mill technology. It has two grinding gears, two sifters and other technical equipment that make it possible to turn the mill into the wind and demonstrate the grinding process. The windmill is not only a technical monument, but also a popular excursion destination for those interested in history and technology.
