The house is a good starting point for days out into the surrounding area, including Cottbus wildlife park, Branitzer Park, Spreewald Forest, Neuzelle Monastery or the Schlaubetal valley. Nearby Lake Deulowitz, a natural lake, is also easily accessible by bicycle. The forest and lakeland surroundings are perfect for fishing or mushroom-hunting.
