The beathing area on the south shore in Reddern is embedded in a near-natural shore fringe, natural, merges directly into a sloping sunbathing lawn and is unguarded. The entrance to the water is relatively shallow. The sunbathing lawn separates the approximately 50-metre-wide natural beathing area from the circular hiking trail and the rest of the recreational area. The sailing and water sports community "Gräbendorfer See" e.V. and the fishing club Altdöbern e.V. have their domicile in the adjacent area to the west and east, respectively. The "Gräbendorfer Strand leisure facility" has been officially open since 2015. There is a campsite, a playground and a public sanitary facility.

Access is via the state road 52 from Drebkau/Casel or Calau or via the district road 6633 (state road 53) from Altdöbern (Senftenberg). There is a bus connection (609: Calau - Missen - Vetschau) with a stop in the district of Reddern (2km walk to the beach).

Immediately after the exit from the Landesstraße 52 - directly at the entrance to the recreation area - there is a public, free car park with approx. 90 parking spaces.

Adjacent to the car park is the area of the camping and caravan site "Camping Gräbendorfer See". Pedal boats and stand-up paddling boards can also be rented here.
