Felixsee is a man-made lake that was created in the context of mining activities in the region. On hot days, it attracts visitors with its clear, blue water and sandy shore areas. There are various lovely bathing spots on the eastern shore of the lake. The bathing areas on the western shore, below the bungalow village, are permanently closed due to a risk of slipping related to the mining activities in the past.

The eastern shore can be reached on foot, via a wide forest path. Free parking is available near the 36 metres tall observation tower. The beach volleyball facility of WSG Buckow e. V. is located north of Felixsee. Tournaments are held here on a regular basis.
