The lookout point on the southern shore of Lake Bergen in the Lusatian Lakeland nature conservation project is considered the observation El Dorado for wolf lovers. The lookout point is regularly visited by nature filmmakers and photographers. Although it is no longer an insider tip, it is primarily reserved for nature lovers. There is a wooden pavilion, several information boards and a kind of terrace with a panoramic view over the approximately 67 hectares of water. If you are attentive, you may well spot white-tailed eagles, cranes, hen harriers, great grey shrikes, nightjars, hoopoes, deer and wild boars. It is especially beautiful here in early summer. Patience is needed to see a wolf. If you come every morning on several consecutive days, you have a good chance to see a wolf. Very important: Do not forget the binoculars, because usually the gray wolves pass by at a distance of several hundred meters.
