Lake Bärwalder See in the south of the Lusatian Lake District offers endless possibilities for active recreation by and on the water, with the motto “Sporty – Natural. Artistic”. Sailors can explore Lake Bärwalder See from Klitten harbour, tie up at the modern landing stages at Boxberg/O.L. and Uhyst and stroll along the promenades. The marina in Klitten harbour has around 90 berths on water and on land; there are plans to add a further 93 water berths in the 2016 season. The convenient slipway allows boats to be launched easily even from day moorings. The harbour has a boat rental and a sailing school. The lighthouse shows the way into the harbour and is fitted with a storm warning lamp and a webcam.
