The iconic glass pyramid is a landmark on Döbern’s main road. It is an appealing sight, enjoyed by tourists passing through, coach passengers and all those who have booked a glass-making workshop at the glassworks. The pyramid also represents the eventful history of the local glass-making industry and traditional crafts and the modernisation of the entire production. Mass production has been replaced with single piece production of glass items, and various other hand-made things are also produced here nowadays.

Cristalica GmbH is among the last few working glassworks in Germany that remain of the formerly thriving glass-making industry. Cristalica Kingdom is dedicated to preserving the art of glass-making and its related traditions and to reinventing it over and over again. The company now produces innovative studio glass and it is among the global leaders in this field.

To supplement the shopping experience, guests can also take part in a guided tour of Cristalica Kingdom including a visit to the glass production facilities, or take part in a glass-making workshop. Please book in advance.
