The Servants’ House was the first building to be built, with the help of the journeymen, and is used by these as a place to meet and stay the night. The pergola provides an inviting entrance into the rustic atmosphere of the farmhouse parlour, where home-made pancakes are served. In the adjoining Miller’s Tower, visitors young and old can listen to the story of the Black Miller on some days and see the original props from the 2008 film adaptation. The Black Mill with the impressive Mill Tower, picturesque thatched roof and water wheel transports visitors back into the time of the Krabat stories. But it is the historic milling technology and the elaborate carvings inside that give the most important building its unique character. The other buildings are taking shape and becoming integrated into the recreated Lausitz four-sided farmyard.

The "Haus des Müllers" restaurant in the old miller’s house serves typical regional meals. The Krabat adventure path takes visitors along past other important stations in Krabat’s life. The Mill Barn welcomes larger visitor groups and is the venue for traditional events. The Jurij Brezan demonstration workshop, formerly a house in Dubring, was rebuilt here as a half-timbered building. It acts as the central location for the association’s cultural work, including: maintaining and presenting Sorbian customs, the Sorbian language and the many traditional costumes, and providing a cultural education for children and young people.

Various events and festivals are held throughout the year. The Krabat Festival is held annually in July, with the motto “A village puts on plays”. This is a unique spectacle focussing on the legendary, enchanting figure of Krabat.

Facilities at the Krabat-Mühle: Guided adventure walks, projects for children and young people, exhibitions presenting the traditions and customs of the Sorbs, KRABAT products: buttermilk pancakes, black ice-cream, KRABAT adventure path
