The Guben City Library is a place that combines diversity and comfort. Current newspapers and magazines are available, as are console games, a games table for all ages, and even a "Library of Things." The library offers a variety of services: from media lending and qualified advice to research at internet workstations and interlibrary loans of non-fiction. Visitors also have the opportunity to view the old Guben newspaper on roll film, participate in literary events, or log on to the free Wi-Fi area. The offerings are complemented by a hot drinks vending machine, copying and printing facilities, and a book flea market. For families, there are regular, free picture book cinema events, the Holiday Reading Club during the summer holidays, Family Sunday in October, and a family card that offers reduced annual fees. On rainy vacation days, the city library is the ideal place to go.
